Dead Dryer

Dryer will do absolutely nothing. I have checked the thermal cutoff and the thermal fuse for continuity and they are both good. Motor turns freely, heating element is good and AC voltage is good. The only other thing I noticed is the light does not come on when the door is opened. Any ideas?

You may have a bad door switch. If you have a meter ohm the door switch to see if its good or bad.

Also please post the model number of your dryer. Kenmore 70 series is not the model number we are looking for.

The full model number can be found on the model/serial number tag that is located on the dryer. Often times the tag can be found inside the dryer door.

Sears model numbers start with three digits and end with eight so you model number will looking something like, 123.12345678

The model # is 110.60702990 I have pulled the door switch but dont know which of the 3 wires to check for continuity. The wires are all white with a dot of ink on each one. Red on the first, blue on the middle and green on the third. The red and green go to one end of switch with blue to other end.

The middle terminal is the common. When the switch is at rest (door open), there will be continuity between the common terminal and one of the other two. When it is triggered (door closed), the continuity between the common and the first is broken, and made between the common and the other.

Checked as you stated and have continuity on common and one wire with switch either open or closed but no continuity with common and other wire with switch open or closed. Am I correct to assume switch is bad?
