LG Washer HELP !!
« on: March 05, 2010, 12:03:50 PM »
The bearings have gone out of my machine I have it all apart but how do i get the old bearings and seals out of the rear tub and press the new ones in.  It is an LG WM0532HW front load with direct drive and we ran it after the bearings went so i am also having to replace the spider

Thanks for the help

You usually have to replace the rear shell as a unit as these bearings are not easily removed without special tools.

FYI ...

The outer tub assembly (3045ER0008A) that i ordered from MCM electronics comes with the bearings seals and installed, and new hoses and a rear shock attached.

Clean the tub shaft with an emory cloth to remove rust (if any) and apply a *thin* layer of grease.

If the shaft is too corroded--the stainless steel tub assy is covered under a lifetime warranty (free).
