« on: March 02, 2010, 10:54:16 PM »
All wiring, grounds & neutral test good, have power to spark module but nothing lites.
Replaced spark module with same results. Any suggestions or manual for this pooch.
Everything I have found shows this to be a GE clone.

Oh I know what it is. I have come across this before. You gotta put a jumper wire somewhere.

There are only 2 switches to bypass on this guy and they are oven control. Anything else
would be in the module wouldn't it? I know that these DSI systems are ground sensitive so that was the 1st thing I tested was the chasis grnd wire to grn.

This one of those old range that appears to have had the pilots removed and electrodes put in their place with a little Bracket above the electrode for it to strike to. There are 2 electrodes, 1 for each pair of burner left and right. They strike independant of each other.

What's the new module part number? The number on the module should be something like 6500S0001 etc.

Wasn't really sure what type of output I was supposed to get, but I had nothing on the AC scale at either of the burner igniter outputs

Ok  That old part has a ground wire on it that needs to be connected to feed the spark. The new part also has the ground wire connection.

Oh I know what it is. I have come across this before. You gotta put a jumper wire somewhere.

A man walks into a bar wearing a set of jumper cables around his neck. He orders a beer. The bartender replies,"Sure thing, buddy; but don't start anything."
