Many consumers/servicers and even some Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) sorely lack information & knowledge of LG dishwashers.
Troubleshooting and servicing an LG dishwasher is a skill that really isn't different from many other brands of dishwashers.
The key differences will be in software knowledge and keeping up-to-date on the Technical Service Bulletins relating to problems that have been identified by LG (and their servicers in the field). Many servicers lack this knowledge because they are NOT an authorized servicer for the brand.
While I have been servicing LG for a number of years and have become intimately familiar with LG products--I have ZERO experience with other brands--such as MIELE.
I may be able to repair a fault/failure on a MIELE dishwasher but that does not always mean it was repaired *correctly*. There may be bulletins that have been printed and distributed to MIELE servicer centers that inform a servicer of a problem and what the correct repair procedure should be.
The lack of this information to non-authorized (no formal training) servicers leads to much confusion/frustration about the brand and its products by servicers and their customers.
