The Allen Bar

I had to change the dryer motor on a maytag super stack yesterday.  I didn't have the motor on my truck, so my boss came on over.  Along with bringing me the motor, he brought this with him.  Man it was sweet, took the clips right off the motor, and put them back on with no restraint at all.  He told me he got it years ago after his flathead slipped and busted his knuckle open.  I tried putting it in my pocket but he was pretty quick on taking it back.  I highly recommend this little guy to add to your arsenal of tools.  I know all of you tech have at least once busted your knuckles getting off one of those pesky motor clips.

No reason to delete it. I'm glad you posted about it.

I exchanged a number of emails with the guy years ago when he sent me one to try. I tried to contact him some time back, but never got a reply.

I just now tried to contact him through his website contact page. Always thought it would be cool to invent some kind of tool and try to sell it.

I have a special clamp I made for clamping off them larger pump hoses on the front load washers.

I should post a photo of it some day. :)
