frozen ice maker inlet

I need some tips on thawing out a frozen inlet on my Kenmore side by side. Water flows when disconnected. but only 2 ozs.
I think I have two issues. low water flow may have caused inlet to freeze. I would like to get the inlet open first and then address amount of water issue.

open the inlet with a hair dryer after you change that leaky water valve

Thanks for the tip. I tried the hairdryer from the back with the waterline removed using a funnel to try to direct the warm air into the frozen area. I will try it from the freezer. What is the water amount dispensed to make a tray of cubes?
