turning off buzzer on maytag dryer

have a request from a new mother. she wants to disconnect the buzzer on her maytag performa dryer. any suggestions on the best way to do this for her?

um nerver mind, plz excuse the stupid question. had i actually looked at the machine instead of asking would have seen how easy it is.

Remove a buzzer wire and tape the bare terminal end.

ok so i removed the bottom wire that conects directly to the timer taped both ends, now the guy tells me it doesnt heat..any ideas?


the vent hose was severly crushed but he says he fixed that....

If the vent was crushed, there is a good chance that the thermal fuse is blown. Unplug the machine, take a putty knife and pop the 2 clips (one on left and one on the right) between the top and front panel.   Bust out your handy dandy meter and check your thermal fuse mounted back by the heating element. If it is open, buy fuse kit LA-1053.  I think JW has got a good link with some great pictures of this.

That would cause no heat.
