older 24 in stack (frigidaire) dryer issue

Washer part works fine.  Dryer won't start or make any noise.  Timer does not tick.  Moved drum around by hand to see if motor was stuck.  Could this be a timer issue?  And had trouble trying to remove front door to get any further.

your start by removing the top, the thermal limit is on the upper right hand corner of the rear bulkhead. The dryer will not run with it blown. remove the screws around the top and then you can remove the screws to the front then in the rear reach into there and take the belt loose. Lift out the drum. clean out the lint. check the bearing and glides.
