Can I Substitute a part for a Magic Chef Gas Cook Stove

I have a Magic Chef Gas Cook Stove, I bought It new back in the late 1980s.
The Safety Valve on it needs to be replaced.
The Model # is  31DN-3KLX and
the "Code Is On"
When I look up the replacement part, It always comes back
 "No Results"
I believe, because the stove was made back in the late 1980s,
they must not make the part anymore. But, I am hoping that the part can be substituted with another part. Can you please tell me if It can be substituted with another Safety Valve?
The stove was my Deceased Father's and other than the Safety
Valve, Is In very good condition, and I would love to be able to keep it.
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

 I don't think that is model number for your oven. Do you have the part number off of the safety valve. You can also take the valve to a parts supplier and they can match it up with a replacement.

I found the Model # between the burners, on top of the stove. Would there be a different model # for the oven? I looked Inside
the oven and didn't see any numbers.
On the Safety Valve, It has this wrote on it;

Eaton Controls          NC4153-5
