GE Refrigerator Control Board

The control board on my refrigerator ,every three days shows "DF" on the display but the refrigerator works fine. Could it be that the board has a problem? or does this refrigerator have a sensor that could be damaged?

The adc has jumped into perminant 8 hour defrost intervals
 due to some sort of error in the ADC? Was one of the doors left slightly open?

No the doors are always closed. Everything works fine even when left with the "DF" on the display. In order to reset I have to unplug the refrigerator and plug it again. Does this refrigerator have a sensor in the evaporator?
