LNC8760A71 Admiral Gas Dryer
« on: February 10, 2010, 01:13:11 PM »
Can somebody please help me?  I have an Admiral gas dryer that I am having wiring issues with.  To make a long story short (sort of) in the process of making a repair, my husband and son unhooked some of the wiring.  They wrote it down before doing so, but of course has gotten lost in the process.  As of right now, the dryer runs and the end of cycle buzzer works; however it won't quit running when the timer gets to zero or when the door is opened.  Also it is not heating.  I would appreciate info regarding what color wire hooks to what prong (for lack of knowing the correct terminology) or any info that could help us.  I really CAN'T afford a new dryer right now!  Thanks so much. :please:

I have the actual schematics that were with the dryer but let's face it, they aren't the easiest thing to read, especially when you're a rookie.  It looks like we have everything wired up correctly but something has to be wrong somewhere!

I was afraid someone was going to ask that! To be perfectly honest - to change the drum belt.  They didn't know at first that the top just lifts off.  They thought you had to take the back off, etc. which meant unhooking some of the wires.  I know, I can ya now, how stupid can one be!!! Well, we know that now.  So there ya go, any help for me?
