Crosley washer walking

Have this Crosley washer model CW5500W that washers ok,but when it gets inti the spin cycle it walks all over,and shakes.It is in the garage on a cement floor.It sits level.I have taken the front off and checked the springs under the tub,all are in place.Do you think this might be a thrust bearing problem? can turn the big pulley by hand ,but it feels wobbley.

Not a thrust bearing problem. A snubber ring out of place. Jimbo will tell you about it, I gotta take my 82 year old mom to the doctor.

Brad under the transmission base is a part called a snubber ring. If you move the washer this ring gets out of center and this washer needs to be perfectly level to work right as you already know. I believe when you get these they come with a styrofaom plug that keeps the tub from wobbling and getting out of place. On the block it says keep this in case you move and put it in the tub but who does?

This is the same machine as the Performa washer by Maytag. Yes, if the center pulley feels wobbly, replace the thrust bearing.  With the front panel off, look for signs of oil around the bottom of the transmission where it sits on the  cabinet base. There is indeed a snubber ring there to keep the  machine stable in spin, but you would need a couple of specialty tools to pull the tub out, turn it over and replace the snubber ring which is trapped under a 200# brake spring assembly. As I mentioned, the tools alone outweight the cost of this repair (unless you can forge your own tools)
