LG LRBC20512TT Bottom Freezer Refrigerator NOT COOLING fridge area!

Problems with LG LRBC20512TT Bottom Freezer Refrigerator, about 3 yrs. old, extremely clean, only 1 user in house:  Not cooling in refrigerator section!  Freezer seems fine, but unsure of exact status of either section, as the control panel goes blank on refrig. side, and several #'s are lit on freezer side of panel.  Happens every few hours.  Tried unplugging/replugging as well as pressing all three "control" buttons at once, holding until system seems to reset...still happens though...no visible condenser coils underneath either.  No major frost build-up anywhere; no obvious obstructions in air flow at either end, yet no air seems to flow from freezer into fridge; freezer keeps running & ice maker seems to work fine.  Mystery!...please help if possible.  Grateful!

Maybe your evap fan has died, part # 4680JK1002B

Hey, thanks so much for the quick reply buddy...much appreciated.  Being a refrig. repair novice (this is a repair of my own unit, not a new career endeavor , I suppose I need to get a multimeter and test the evap. fan for continuity perhaps?? I'm guessing it'll be stashed behind the rear panel somewhere.  Should that fan be spinning when I look at it? Want to do an inspection before unplugging of course.  Hey thanks again...and cheers.

LG had issues with this and they will work  with you on a new control and touch pad. Call their warranty number and describe the problem.

Thanks for the response friend; I'm truly hoping you're right about that possibility...it would be awesome. Got laid off several months ago, and the timing couldn't be worse for another fat bill...yikes. 

Were you informed that they're offering replacement parts for respective problems - even after warranty expires? (As I'm way past expiration at this point).

As a full-time servicer for all brands, I occasionally hear about customers receiving concessions from the parent company were the reputation and safety of the product are concerned. All of the US companies do this from time to time especially when a repeated failure makes the rounds. I think if you were to Google the complaints and  lawsuits against LG over refrigerator issues, you would see a myriad of websites with far more examples than you'll find here.  I'm just sayin'...it doesn't hurt to complain to them and see...

Great advice...and yes, I'd previously found countless online complaints from furious people toward LG - especially regarding their customer service (or lack thereof).  I just wish I'd done my due diligence online before having made this poor decision to go with LG.
