Whirlpool Electric Dryer - Start button won't work

All of a sudden my whirlpool electric dryer start and stop/cancel buttons dont work.
1) I tried the Test mode, More time/less time in 5 seconds...  all light up and display shows 88. I hit stop/cancel the unit goes out of test mode as expected.
2) When I open the door there is no light in the drum.
3) When I hit any of the wash cycle buttons (Normal/Delicate/etc). control panel lights up and shows the estimated time for drying.

However the start button does not work after that. If I try to cancel out the Stop/Cancel button does not work either, control panel just stays lit.

I verified that I am getting 120v on each of the live prongs with a Multimeter.

Please help what to look next

Drop the kick panel and check all the safety's you can. I suspect you have a blown duct fuse.

I checked the Thermal cutoff, thermostat and the Thermal duct fuse. All of them checked out ok.

When i physically disconnect the power for some time and plug it back in the dryer worked. I had this going for a couple weeks.

Now all of the sudden non of the lights on the control panel work.. Its totally dead. Any ideas what may be the issue

Could a loose connection. Check the receptacle and the power cord connections

Have a close look at the main PCB. This sounds like an intermittent problem associated with a loose solder connection or a failing component of the board. Be sure this unit is well grounded and that there is not a low-voltage condition existing on the dryer circuit.

Did you remove the 2 screws that hold the filter housing and check that pesky duct fuse?

I did check remove the 2 screws for the duct panel and checked the duct fuse with a mutimeter. it shows continuity. If it was the duct fuse, i would think the control panel should still light up though.. even if the start/stop dont work
