I have searched for this topic, but can't find something similar, so finally registering after using for forum successfully on several appliances.....
Dryer heats normally for several cycles, then no heat at all. (Still spins and acts normal, just no heat) Then after rocking entire unit side-to-side, the heat may start again. Also gotten heat to restart after ignoring favorites and trying several timed cycles with varying heat temps -- and rocking machine. Check for heat after starting each cycle until it starts, then it runs fine for 5 to 10 cycles (or more) until it stops again.
Sometimes either method works by itself, but usually do both to speed things up. Almost like the machine gets stuck and then the banging and/or calling up various heat cycles gets it going again.
Only other problem was the dryer plug was melting a few months back, replaced box and dryer cord. This stopped the intermittent heat for a month or two (and thought it was causing the heat issue) but it is returning now. Plug looks fine.
Any help is appreciated!
