Estate Electric Dryer - Timer not advancing

My dryer is model # TEDS740JQ1.

The timer is not advancing in any modes of selection.  The dryer is getting the cloths hot & dry but is not shutting off because the timer is not advancing.  

Does anyone have a wiring diagram?

Do I just check for continuity on the timer motor only?  I know that in the auto dry cycle that there are other parts of the circuit involed but in the manual timed dry cycle are there another circuit parts involed in the timing of the dryer.

Hi DWP,

If the timer does not advance in any cycle including the timed dry cycle more then likely you have a bad timer.

If you take a look at the back of the timer you will see the two (black/brown?) wires that go to the timer motor. I would turn the dryer on a timed cycle and then use a volt meter to see if I had 120 Vac to the timer motor.

If you have voltage to the timer motor and it does not advance then replace the timer.

My brother in law replaced his timer for the same reason and the new timer didn't advance. Turned out to be that 3 wire thermostat that mounts at the base of the heating element. That small orange wire controls the motor in auto cycle.

That's correct, my bad.
You are either going to have voltage to the timer motor or not.
Let us know what you find.

Thanks everyone for responding.  After 2+ months of using the timer on my stove for keeping an eye on the dryer I have finally pulled the dryer out & checked it out.  Yep, there is voltage going to the timer motor & I am now confident that it is the timer motor.  You guys have been a big help on fixing my dryer & washer in the past!  And you did not let me down this time.  :-)
