Maytag MAV5000AWW tub leak question

I was wondering if I can get away with replacing the tub seal only or should the tub seal kit be changed. Any thoughts

The tub seal on this design washer has a few different variations.  You should change the entire kit, if this machine is built before January of 2006, it has a 10 year transmission warranty. the 35-6615 part number has the HT TRANS S and seal kit all in 1. If it's out of warranty, you must change the entire seal kit with the new bearing.
