Make: Whirlpool
Model: 8525079

I just changed the coupler and clutch on my whirlpool washer because it wasnt spinning. The washer spins now but on high spin the drum starts to bang and shake uncontrolably. Any suggestions to fix this problem. Yes the machine is balanced

Your skid plate in not sitting flush on the frame. Re-position the skid plate so that the triangular plate sits flush and skids on the frame. I'll see if I have a picture of it.

You don't need to go through all the actions in the video. You can actually reset the skid plate by leaning the machine back and separating the tub and frame and turn the skid plate back in place. Just take the weight off the tub first. You'll see the skid plate (3) tongues should line up accordingly laying flat on the skid plate against the tub and frame. Let us know what you find.

It's not hard to move just take the weight off it reposition it, just make sure the triangular pieces match up and it rides smooth. That sounds like your problem. You should have it fixed in under 5 minutes. Keep me informed.

Found an old picture of what it should look like (without outer tub connected) but you should get the visual of it.
