 ???OK, so how do I get to the terminal block.Just to let you guys out there know I'm of the female persuasion. I'm usually pretty good at repairing things if someone would just point me in the right direction. So give me a direction to start with. JE

Unplug the dryer and follow the cord up to where it connects to the dryer. Check for a loose connection there.

OK, no loose connection that I can see. I'm wondering if there is a connection problem or short at the start button. Since last time I hit the button the dryer came on for several seconds then shut down. JE

No, you have likely got a bad motor. It has an inernal overload built in to prevent overamperage, etc. That's a pretty old dryer. The motor is a 303358

So you did...for some reason, I had Maytag on the brain not LG. My bad.

The best thing to do is download the dryer manual so you can make certain it is a motor issue and not the control board.

Unplug the power and tighten all the connections to the terminal block

it's a Gas Dryer ..
