Whirlpool fridge needs defrost drain tube cleared

If anyone can help me I need to clear defrost drain tube from Whirlpool fridge. I don't know if it is something I can do on my own, any information regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated. Water is leaking from freezer to fridge and collecting at bottom of fridge where it freezes.

Could you post the model number of your refrigerator? The model number can be found on the model/serial number tag that is located on the refrigerator.

You can wrap a copper wire around the heater and extend it down into the drain. The idea being the heat from the heater will transfer down the wire and keep the drain free of ice.
