Lardytub, sorry about the confusion.
Please start over.
Check for 220 volts at the wiring terminal where the cord connects.
Then check the wires at the cord terminal for a burned/broken wire.
If you have power there,remove the rear panel and check the fuse referenced by JW for continuity.
If that is OK check the door switch for continuity.
If that is OK check the start switch for continuity.
