houptee notes were PERFECT for me. Great info!
I used 1" socket on an extension to pound out the rear bearing (very good looking in my case--wish I didn't have to remove it.)
I tried to use a 1 1/4 socket and same extension to pound out the front, but it needed more umph for that one, since it had a rougher life, and after a glancing blow to the hand holding the extension, I went and got a 12" piece of 1 1/4 pipe with endcap per houptee's notes.
Still holding this with a hand, but target of an endcap is much nicer than the extension. After about ten whacks, it was coming out!
Note: I did spray on some PB penetration stuff the day before, so do that too.
