Whirlpool Gas Dryer Won't Light; No Power to Ignitor

OK... installed a new 4 wire bias t-stat. Now the igniter comes on, but I get no fire. 

Put the old t-stat back in... still nothing.

I'm about ready to chunk this piece off the deck.

I took the dryer apart. The coils were plugged in. I fired the dryer up to check for power to the coils, and the burner lit. It cycled, then wouldn't refire.

At least since it's apart.. it will be easier to throw off the deck.

 I would try a new set of coils, their cheap enough. Make sure the covers are all in place when you test the dryer so you don't disrupt the air flow. There should be a small access cover in the rear or sight hole in the front of the dryer to watch the flame. If you run certain gas dryers with the covers off it will trip the high limit

If you don't here the coils click, replace them.

OK... installed the new gas coils and put it all back together. With the old bias t-stat, it cycles now, off about 175 degrees, on about 135 at the exhaust, just like before it died.

I put the new bias t-stat in, and now it goes over 200 degrees before it cuts off.

You have the correct tstat installed?
Put the old one back in and get a refund. That dude ought not get above 160

Yeah JW... all the numbers on the replacement were the same as the original one. Both are FSP units.
