lg washer tub wobbles
« on: December 29, 2009, 10:08:45 PM »
This LG WM2277HW washer tub wobbles out of control, it wobbles so bad every load ends with ue, which of course is unbalanced load, this washer has only 3 dampers. the back of the tub shakes voilently out of control, this machine has been moved 4 or five times. it also makes a grinding sound when it begins to spin, which tells me a bearing is bad, so if i change the rear tub will it also take care of the wobble?

the machine itself is perfectly level, the cabinet doesnt move but with top off you can watch the tub go insane.

Did they re-install the Shipping Bolts before each move ?
(and remove them before use)

may have damaged the Tub/Bearing/Rotor/Stator ..
or maybe just the damaged the Hall Effect Sensor.

yeah thats what im afraid of, i know the bearing is done since i hear grinding when it rotates(the drum) and i held back the hall sensor while it was running and it finished the cycle completely so i am assumming that the hall sensor is ok but while the drum is wobbling like crazy it stops giving the ue code. also i noticed that the bolts holding the front and rear outer tub togather arent holding it flush, kinda looks like the rear drum is trying to seperate but bolts are holding it against its will, if that makes any sense.what do you think? change the rear drum? i really appreciate the help on this.thank you
