Washer walking clear across the floor?!

h'lo all, first time here.
I've searched for some answers for my problem, but no luck so far.
I've got a 5 yr. old Maytag SAV205 topload washer that vibrates so badly on spin, that it will literally "walk" across the concrete floor. to the point where it will try and tear off the water hoses!
I've balanced, re-balanced and re-re-balanced the front feet, but after a few loads, off it goes!
I've shifted loads before Spin, but again no luck.
I'm thinking that something internally is out-of-balance, but have no idea where to begin to track it down.
Any and all help greatly appreciated!

More than likely this is an issue with the washer base. The milk stool (tub support) rests on a white ring which glides around and helps stabilize the tub during spin. Called the snubber ring, it rests on a conical base flange to keep it in a tight orbit. If the flat part surrounding the washer base  is warped, the tub cannot maintain a level composure during spin. This was a known issue among these Amana-made machines at the time, and a base kit is available which should correct the problem.

I would try a new friction ring first to see if the problem is resolved cheaply. The base is also in stock and comes with new legs, etc for around $276 the last time I priced one. The friction ring is much better, only $25.60 from RepairClinic at the pic link below:

I've ordered the friction ring (and some new rubber feet) and will give it a try in a couple of days.
I may be looking for a new washer, but sincerest thanks to you for trying to help me wring a bit more time out of this one!
