whirlpool top load washer agitator slipping

agitator seems to be slipping, skips a few and then turns a little during the wash cycle. Do I need the agitator repair kit?

The agitator repair kit or just the dogs.

I replaced the dogs and now it agitates just like when it was new.... really cool!

I told myself a long time a go I would draw the line at working on washing machines, but now I know I can fix at least the agitation issues on this type of washer. Glad I got to test it at my house first!
