How to attach dryer push start switch 3404233

Someone pushed too hard on my dryer start switch and it popped out.  I though maybe it was broken but my part 3404233 looks exactly like the one I see on the web.  Does anyone know how it attaches to the dryer?
I assumed it snaps into the little square that is above it, but it wont snap in.

Stick it in the square hole and twist is a hair. It will lock in place if it ain't broke
