performa dryer not heating

hi, need help on this, customer called said the dryer was not heating, he had bought a thermal fuse kit and installd it. still no heat, i checked the heating element its fine and so is the cycling thermostat, is this a timer problem? also in the kit it comes with 2 thermal fuses one for electric one for gas, pink is gas? yellow is electric? i forget. if he put in wrong one will that cause not to heat/

You could use either one of them little ones. Find the leg on the timer that goes to the heating element, remove the wire, and see if you can get continuity between that point and other terminals on the timer.

Did you first verify 240 volts at the power cord where it attaches to the dryer (with a voltmeter?)

yes i did theck for 240 vlts, changed timer not the timer...changed timer, heat selector, hi limit, thermal fuse, cycling thero, heating element, still no heat

Bad circuit breaker. (getting hot and opening on heat leg) seen it.

Did you check the centrifugal circuit through the motor?

did you do any voltage / resistance tests with a meter, before replacing parts ? ?

You used a meter, yet you still replaced several parts that the meter "showed" were good.  h-m-m

The only part left is a motor, as trout said.

I had a customer one time who did pretty much the same thing, except he went out and finally bought a new dryer. The new one would not work when he got it home. Come to find out, the breaker was not putting out 240 volts, only 120 volts which was enough to run the motor but not heat.

$525 for a $13.50 breaker. Having a good meter make a big diff.

im sorry, i think i mis represented, i didnt replace all these parts, the customer did. was stating what they had changed. reading back it does look like i changed them. they are going to buy a new one but i will suggest they have the breaker checkd first. thank you
