Maytag Performa Electric Dryer

My Maytag Dryer is about 7 years old and it is not running as hot as it did before. I have checked the high limit, the thermostat control and the element and all checked out as i figured because the dry is heating just not as hot as it should anymore.....any help you guys can give is appreciated. I'm kind of lost in this type of problem.

Check for a loose/stripped plastic blower wheel

So to get to the blower or check it i need to remove the back panel of the dryer and check the fan on the exhaust? Would it be noisy if it was stripped out? Could the problem be the temperature switch on the control's? I have air, low and high heat?

If its that old have ever had it cleaned? Pull the front off and check the duct where the filter goes in. Clean that, and check for a clog in the exhaust goin out of your residence thru the flex duct or replace if it is old. It will blow a fuse in your dryer sooner or later if clogged and you will have no heat at all. I to have seen the broken blowers from the motor housing caused from getting brittle because of heat so do check that to while you have it apart.
