fau heats intermittingly

Hi,

Ok, so my fau is a 1987 model, I don't know if that makes a difference, but the problem is: It doesn't always heat when it is turned on. Sometimes it has to be turned on and off repeaditly.  I would appreciate any help.  Thank you!
