roper dryer runs motor runs as soon as you set it, no need to push start button

when i turn the timer to cycle motor just starts but it doesnt tumble unless you manually start it, when push button is totally disconected it still does the same, hooked another motor same thing.. could this be a timer problem?

continues to do the same with belt disconnected. i am stumped

oh by manually start i mean spin the pulley.

Well if the rollers turn ok then maybe it is this ring:
tub ring/bearing
The belt ought to be connected like this by the way (click pic to make bigger)
