You must have something in the pump. Take a look at this movie showing how to access the pump and drive parts:

Check the clutch that is probably where the problem is. It is usually worn pads on the liner or oil leaking from the top of the tranny and getting on the liner.

I'm sorry what she is haveing to do is pull out the knob and pull out and push down on it for it to go thru the cycles

Bad lid switch or timer check the lid switch first.

Make sure the connection between the timer and harness is clean tight and secure.

How to I get to the timer to check it  not sure what to even look for The lid seitch has been replaced its almost like it is a loose connection or something
