Maytag jet cleanquiet plus 2 recall harness rewire

I know that is not the model number.Now there was a recall on some maytag dishwashers for harness rework.this was my first job alone as a tech,i am still in training and will not be on my own for a while yet.here is what happened.there was no evedence of any problem with the wire harness but as you all no a recall is a recall so this had to be done.
        the machine ran fine before i did the rework.after the rewire job i ran the machine,put in fill ,it filled and when it was suppose to wash it pumped out.i did this several times and every time it pumped out instead of wash.i checked out my all my wires and every thing was were it is suppose to be and all connections were tight.took cver off of pump in machine cleaned it out to make sure the water sensor was ok and not obstructed,all ok.
             this is what i think it may be.(motor checked out ok)
        1.recieved a bad harness? ordered another one
        2.ordered a new timer?(mechanical timer)
       3.new motor (just in case )will return if not needed just want to make sure next time i visit that house the machine works when i leave.
    Any thing else you guys can add for me to look for would be appreciated.

did i read you right when you said their was nothing wrong with the machine but it was a recall so you had to do it?

I believe this is the recall he is talking about.

Voluntary recall of approximately 2.3 million Maytag brand and Jenn-Air brand under counter and portable plastic tub dishwashers

It's one of them safety things.

Yes JW,Sometimes i just donot type things out the way i am thinking .in some instencec the wire harness would get hot and cause a fire.When i said there was nothing wrong i ment the machine was opperating ok,and there was no indication of the harness overheating.

Well I can tell ya from past experience when some of my custs would order stuff (especially from maytag)they have no problem sending you the replacement parts but they fail to mention any thing pertinent like
wiring changes or tech sheets. I always figgered any directions were sent to that lonely guy. see most of their guys have came across the same situation as you have and so they have probably sent out a memo to their guys of some sort of  remedy. It would be like: In our new harness you don''t bother to hook this wire or you now reverse these 2 wires or omit these wires here if the serial number starts with... If you ain't on their mailing list, you didn't get it. LOL

Did they tell you this or did you test it yourself?

This recall goes back to some old dishwashers. I know some people that have put there old dishwasher out behind the garage becuase it was not working right. Then they find out about the recall and think that's going to fix everything that was wrong with it.
