My washer will not drain or spin. It will fill and agitate but when it hits the spin cycle it stops right there. It will not drain or spin. Any ideas?

What is the full model number of your washer. Your Sears/Kenmore washer model number starts with 110 and ends with eight more digits.

For example 110.12345678

The full model number can be found on the model/serial number tag that is located on the washer.

Hi,

Sounds like you have a bad lid switch. This is a very common problem.

As you open and close the lid can you hear the lid switch click on and off?

If not chances are the lid switch is bad and needs to be replaced.

If you have a ohm meter and know how to use it you could also ohm the lid switch out to check it.

I looked up the lid switch for your model washer and it uses lid switch part number: 285671 Lid Switch Assembly, AP3094500
