Neptune won't spin

<< < (2/2)

JWWebster:
Sometimes specific part numbers will require a series number. This is usually the first 2 numbers of the serial number.

bk201:
Well, I checked the balance/inertial loop and it was OK. While I was in there I checked the door lock switches again and one of them seems to be making intermittent contact. I'll replace them and see if it spins. A $20 fix would be much nicer than a $100 fix  O0

Repair-man:
I agree completely. A faulty spin-enable switch on the right side of the door latch will cause the unit to not spin. The lock light switch is in the middle. A common mistake when replacing the wax motor is not positioning the spring properly. This causes irregular flexion of the plunger aganst the locking cams and the switches. That particular switch carries 12 volts dc. back to the board
