Hi-
I am getting an E2 error code....it comes on randomly.
Doesn't go away with the usual methods, but if I shut the power down to the oven for a few hours then restart it is gone and oven works fine.

The strange part is that it shows E2 for the lower oven, even though we always use the upper oven.

Anybody know what the solution is??

Here's what the Thermador Tech sheet has to say about the F-2 code:

1. Replace relay board if necessary.
2.  Replace oven temperature sensor if other components check normal.
3. If failure repeats, replace electronic range control (also called clock or ERC

Probably a bad relay board, but my take on this problem is to eliminate the oven sensor from the picture...use your OHM meter and test across the 2 leads on the harness plug going to the sensor. It should read about 1090-1100 Ohms at room temp. If not, replace it first, as it is by far the least of your expenses

That's for the F2 code. I am getting an E2 code.

Are they the same?

E-2 is a temp runaway. Again, check the sensor and if it is good, replace the Clock/relay board.
