Maytag Neptune, Door Latch issues

Jaytag:
Got a neptune that sometimes starts load depending on banging on the door to make contact.  Is it the door latch?  What should I replace?

With this machine, a complete model and the serial number will be needed, as Maytag changed the MAH5500 design several times during production. Thanks.

If it were me, I would replace the 22004435 door lock assy. Be sure the metal bar that engages the latch still has a stiff enough posture to trip the door lock cam when it closes. Lock assy  Shown below-
