Washer leaks water

During operation  washer leaks water.  When the top is open the tub is off center to the left or back. You can manually center it again.  When looking underneath the unit there is a bracket attached to a spring on the lower left side that is not attached to anything.  Can't find where that goes.  When the washers spins it makes a banging noise (not loud) like it is out of balance, till the unit is up to speed.  I checked th hoses during operation and there is no water leaking from the hoses.  It appears the water is coming down the back panel during filling. Is there a diagram of where the bracket attaches to see if that stops the banging and the water leak?

Yes as far as I know.  The unit was serviced about 6 years ago for a new drain pump. and a Sears Techician did the work.

Here is a repair manual
Look for a very small leak in the hose from pump to drain.
