MTS16BBMDLWW Moffatt Fridge Repair Please Help!

I have a Moffatt fridge. Not getting cold at all. I have cleaned alot of dust from the back of the fridge, cleaned the dust from the fan, condensor coils, and checked the drain tube for blockage. Both condensor fan and evaporator fan work when the fridge is plugged in. I hear the compressor working. I have removed the thermostat and check the resistance when cold. The thermostat passes. I have removed the defrost timer, perform the resistance tests and only have a reading on one pair of the terminals on the defroster timer. I am prepared to buy a new defrost timer, but thought I would ask you guys for your professional advice first. The evaporator coils dont get frosted, or build up of ice, fridge sounds normal but not cold.  Will the defroster timer cause this. Any other suggestions will help.

First I would put you defrost timer back in make sure it is not in defrost..defrost has an small indcatior at the top. then I would check at the compressor has power .if you have a meter check for 110v at compressor relay..if you have power there then check your relay... hope it helps

Good Morning and thanks for the reply. When I took the defroster timer out. I have performed continuity checks and had one a reading between one pair. I turned the knob at the back of the timer until i heard it click. That would but it in the defrost mode. I checked for continuity again and didn't have it. I suspect the timer is bad. I can hear the compressor kick in when I turn the the temperature control to zero and then back to 7 or 9 the noise of the fridge changes.

One question, is the mark for the defrost mode marked on back of the defrost timer?

The defrost timer will not stop the fridge from cooling if the compressor is running. Only if it hangs up in the defrost mode and does not allow the compressor to come back on.
You state that you tested the defrost thermostat while cold and had continuity. This indicates the compressor is running and allowing the freezer section to cool.
You also stated the refrigerator "is not cold at all".
How did you test for a cold thermostat?

I tested the defrost thermstat by removing it and placing it in another freezer for about half and hour, than I got a reading on my ohm meter.

From your description of the problem I believe you have a bad compressor not pumping or a refrigerant leak.
