Softsound DW control trouble

Im working on an Amana softsound DW and the original problem was that the control was dead. Right now i'm getting 120v on both line 1 and neutral wires coming into the new control and its still not responding to any commands! Im still working on my electrical knowledge and im thinking that i received a bad control. The heating element is good, high limit's good, and its getting power down to the tank but i cant command it to do anything. Please help!

Check the door switches thoroughly before demanding another control.

I checked the door switches and they are both working as they should, getting 120v at neutral when door is closed.

You may have a bad touch pad on the control panel. I have run across severalof these  just this month. The ribbon gets scorched between the front panel and the control. We usually would replace both the board and the control panel to avoid problems when I was at Maytag.
