Cougar

Not bad, out of your two I like the second one best.

I like how Appliance and Junk are broken up instead of both being on one line.

That is something I never liked about my own designs.
I always would have ApplianceJunk.com all on one line and just never liked the looks of it that way.

Having the com part different then the rest of the text whether it be a different size, color, font, etc.. seems to give it a nice look.

Thanks,

I am by no means a graphical designer but I thought you might be interested in something that could be used as an Icon with the just the initials.  Doing this makes the logo very scalable, in other words it is recognizable at really any size.  I really like this font.  it kina has a 50's feel to it that makes me think of old appliance that people are still trying to keep alive...lol.

Let me know what you think.

Interesting A&J at the top. I'm wondering if the .com and text under ApplianceJunk would be to small to see in some cases, but not bad.

Thanks,

The image is way bigger, I just resized it. This is something that would go on the actual website.

digitalmischief, locomouse

Not bad, but they seem more like banners then logos to me.

Actually, I was thinking it was a header for your web page that you wanted.  The word 'logo' didn't compute in my little pea brain...  Embarrassed

There have been some really cool logos submitted so far though.  I'm sure you'll have just what you want before the dust settles... Wink

All the best,

Helen

I just wanted to say that this one is my favorite so far.  Thumbs Up

It's professional looking, yet very cool without being all business and no fun.

I could envision this on your website, a hat, coffee mug or even the side of a service vehicle.  Thumbs Up

I'm anxious to see if anyone else can come up with something better. Smiley

Thought I'd try one more for fun, than I'm off to do dragon work.  I will stop in from time to time to see how it's going.  This is a png file, so background is transparent (click image to enlarge).    Cheers

This is just a thought that someone else might be able to do something with.  This Logo could be made to look like a knob on a stove, microwave, washing machine, etc.  Just something that someone else might be able to work with to create a cool logo.

JR what would be cool is if you could put the initials in there in pencil thin black, I think you is onto something there. Keep at it dude.

Hi everyone.  I saw the contest posted over on the smf Help board and figured I'd take a shot.  Btw, I think this place could use a nice custom theme as well - something industrial, clean..   Anyway, here's an idea - some variation of this:

btw, this can be flattened to make it easier to print as a letterhead, t-shirt, etc so that you only have to worry about printing 1 color.

Very intersting idea. Never thought of something like that.

Chase,

Thanks for entering the contest.

Once SMF 2.0 goes gold we will be working with the new Curve theme. Smiley
