all at once the dishwasher will not engage when the dial is turned. it will fill up on watersaver setting but will not wash, drain ANYTHING

Is this a timer issue? I checked the float and the drain and all are clear.

Do you hear a humming noise from underneath?
This is a GE made DW. The GE motor may be stuck if you hear a humming noise.
If so,remove the bottom access plate. Disconnect power from the DW. Take 2 flat blade screwdrivers and rotate the motor cooling fins counterclockwise until you feel the motor shaft break loose.Use one screwdriver to rotate the motor. Hold the position with the 2nd screwdriver. Re insert the 1st and rotate to the left again. Then reconnect power and run the machine.
