Frigidaire not making ice

My side by side Frigidaire will not make ice if I turn the temp control below 6 or 7. Everytime I try to turn back the temp..the ice maker stops working. Before anyone starts replacing parts try this simple fix..turn up the temp higher!

What is your actual Freezer temperature ?

Ice Production will stop if Freezer temperature is above +15F.

Are you actually turning the Freezer temperature up or down ?
