Kitchen Aid dishwasher door is locked

Well i replaced my membrane pad that covers the button and lights along with the plastice cover that the membrane sticks onto. I then placed one screw to hold the plastic head unit from the inside of the washer door so the head would not fall out. Ran a rise cycle and it worked, went to open the door and the latch assembly must not have engaged properly when I put the cover back and the unit is locked and I am wondering how to get in since I placed one screw back from the door liner screwing into the plastic housing that the membrane is glued to.  Thought about drilling a small hole through the latch handle to access the latch release...Any suggestions to open it up?

Have you tried holding onto the sides of the counsel and pulling to see if the door latch will release?

I just tried that...not opening...I will drill a small hole in the handle in the morning if nothing comes up. Thanks

Well, I opened it   Take a bamboo shishkabob skewer and look were the handle is  underneath the plastic console head unit and place the skewer on the right hand side... angle towards the center of the console and wiggle it in and push up...After i thought of the skewer it took me around a minute to push the latch up.
