I have an
LG TROMM dryer which is 2 yrs. old and suddenly does not heat on any setting either. Everything else about it works fine. Local excellent repair man witih 30 yrs. experience told me the burner was only gettting 20 volts, instead of the 90 volts the LG technical support people told him it needed to ignite. They informed us we needed to purchase a new board. We did, and installed it. And the problem is exactly the same...
Then, when we called back to LG, spent 30 minutes on hold one time and never got through to tech support. Tried online chat, but terrible customer service rep could not get past the fact that the one year warranty ended and would not put me though to a technical person.
Has anyone experienced this failure to get voltage to the burner? I have been without a dryer for 3 weeks and am going crazy! Do you think the thermostate problem described by others could account for this? Any insight will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
