Electronic control panel problems

Control panel lights up but may or may not allow you to change the settings or even start the cycle.  When it will allow you to change the settings and start the machine it will change the settings by itself as the machine is operating.  What is the cause?  I have been advised it could be the control panel board or the Motor control board.  Help?

It is a bad control panel most likely. If you buy thru Repair clinic you can always return it if the part does not solve the problem and get the control board instead.
