burnt smell in freezer

burnt smell in freezer, apparently evaporaor fan motor.  fan doesnt spineither, before i buy new one is  there a way to  test old fan motor?

ordering this part thru appliancepartspros will take awhile again i will assume its okay to leave the refrigerator on.

if anyone could suggest anything i would sure appreciate it

Burnt smell is usually the defrost heater wouldn't you say? Dang that pint looks good and me being sentenced now to only weekend drinking.

Check to see if you have voltage to the fan motor. If you have voltage to the fan motor and the motor does not run then you need to replace the motor.
