Well, I'm back with more info and additional questions. The whiny LG
LRFC25750TT fridge conked out completely and gave me ER-FF (error freezer fan). I did some googling and looked at past threads here and find out this fridge has been recalled for this issue.
I tried calling the recall hotline that is listed with the USCPSC and that number appears to not be in service. I called the LG customer service number as listed on lge.com and that number appears to not be in service.
I tried the live chat option and the agent gave me the same customer service number. Called again, still nothing but call can't be connected message.
Now the agent is telling me that my fridge isn't part of the recall. Can anyone tell me how I find out exactly which models/serial numbers were included? I am sorry to say that I just don't believe her, especially since I am having the exact same issues and having also found so much negativity about their service/lack of service and their inability to do anything but deny, deny, deny.
Also, anyone know how to call LG? The numbers I've tried are:
800 243 0000 (customer service)
888 294 5782 (listed as recall hotline)
800 222 6457 (from google search)
866 372 2928 (from google search)
Not a single number has connected so far.
If my fridge is really not part of this recall then fine, I'll chalk it up to crappy product and never buy anything from them again, but if it is covered then I deserve to have it fixed as appropriate.
