Kenmore 300 fills on cycle start spins and drains but no rinse or short cycles

I ahve a Kenmore 300 series washing machine. It fills with water fine on a full cycle. If I try a short cycle or go to rinse or when it goes to rinse it humms but no water comes out. It drains and spins fine. I replaced the timer and got the same behavior. Does anyone know what could be the issue? Thanks

Will it fill on cold water only setting?

I will have to check if it doesn't then it is the solenoid?

Could be trash or sand in the sump. Pressure works ok on full but maybe so much sand the pressure don't work on a low water load. Try blowing out the small rubber tube on the water level switch.

Bad valve or just a plugged screen. Some only rinse with cold water.

where is the water level switch tube? Thanks

You flip up the console and expose the controls. On the back wall of the unit is a rubber tube running up to the water level switch from the tub down below.

The cold wash doesn't work it humms just like the rinse cycle.

Replace that water valve if you have checked both ends of the hose for debris.
