LG Thermostat

Recently my LG DLG5932 dryer began giving me lots of trouble.  It would not heat up etc.  I had a service tech come out and he suggested that the thermostat failed.  We had the thermostat replaced only to have the dryer do the same thing again.  Same tech came out examined the situationa and indicated that the dryer vent was too long.  We've redone the dryer vent.  In total the vent is approximately 8' long with two 90's  one at the bottom and one at the top where it exits the building.  The vent is done in 4" rigid with a wide mouth vent cover.

The thermostat continues to "pop".  Thanfully it's the resetable type.  But now after almost every load I have to take the dryer apart to reset the thermostat.  Does anyone have any suggestion as to what can be causing this issue.  Thanks in advance for your help

check for good air-flow where the Vent exits the house.

Disconnect the Vent and measure the Tempearture.

Shjould cycle somewhere between about 135F and 160F.

Does it "pop" with the Vent disconnected ?

There is excellent air flow exiting the house.  I haven'ttried disconnecting the vent and running the dryer.  Is there a specific type of thermometer I should use to check the temp?  What will that tell me?  I mean if its out of that range? I can tell you that usually after one or two loads I have to reset the machine again

If the temperature is too high with the Vent disconnected, one of the Thermistor / Controller could be bad
